Welcome, dear one
Be taught now, among the trees and rocks, how the discarded is woven into shelter.

Hi there, I’m Rebekah
Perhaps you feel lost, confused, or disconnected. Maybe you no longer feel safe or welcome in places that once felt safe and welcoming. You may have stories that have no words, but you know your body remembers them. Trauma and relational harm can feel like being exiled from safety, with an inability to return home.
I work with people who have experienced trauma, whether that occurred within an institution, family, cultural or spiritual context, or relationship. In our work together, we will explore the stories and relationships that have helped form you, and address the places in your current life where you feel stuck or overwhelmed. You may have specific things you hope to work through, or you may have a general sense that all isn’t well. We will spend time learning to understand you and your experience, and walk together into a deeper knowing and compassion for yourself.
I work in a cozy and plant-filled office in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. My practice name, Heartroot, is based on taproots in the tree root system. Heartroots absorb nutrients and help anchor the tree by being in relationship with other roots in the system. My hope is that these sturdy roots can be a guide into nourishing and kind ways of finding home.
